International Women’s Day is a great opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements, as well as the contributions women make across our operations at ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia (CDC).
For 2023, the theme for International Women’s Day is #EmbraceEquity:
“Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.”
According to ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia CEO, Nicholas Yap, CDC is actively finding ways to boost and embrace equality across the businesses.
“CDC operates public transport and charter buses across Australia, and this industry that has traditionally had higher numbers of males,” Mr Yap said.
“However, we understand that there are many competencies that women can bring to the role – across all facets of the business, from senior management to maintaining the vehicles – and we encourage their participation and celebrate their achievements.
“Programs like CDC Victoria’s Driven Women are all about increasing women’s participation, supporting them on a daily basis and retaining them for years to come.
“We are also very proud of the high proportion of women working in our non-emergency patient transport business, National Patient Transport.
“From customer experience and depot supervision to bus driving and nursing, it is our people who continue to make ComfortDelGro Australia a leading transport provider and we celebrate the positive impacts our women have on the business,” Mr Yap said.
To create a visual link between the women at CDC and the International Women’s Day theme, #EmbraceEquity, the company has released of a video celebrating women’s achievements and demonstrating the fact that women can perform any role within the company.
